Mr. Knauss graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in 1971 and from Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University with a Juris Doctorate in 1974. He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1974. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals.
He joined the law firm of Metzger, Wickersham, Knauss & Erb, P.C. in 1974 and concentrates his practice in plaintiff's personal injury and workers' compensation law.
Mr. Knauss is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (Civil Litigation and Workers' Compensation Law Sections). He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization in which membership is "limited to trial lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill, experience and excellence in advocacy by achieving a trial verdict, award or settlement in the amount of one million dollars or more."
Mr. Knauss is Board-certified as a specialist in both civil pretrial practice advocacy and civil trial advocacy by the National Board of Civil Pretrial Practice Advocacy and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, the accrediting agencies approved by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
