Harrisburg Man Killed in I-81 Crash Involving 3 Trucks

A Harrisburg man died on Monday afternoon, July 2nd, 2018 in a crash involving two tractor-trailers and a box truck.

Arquimides Flores, 33, passed away due to injuries he suffered when his vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer, said state police.

At the time of the crash, Flores' vehicle was disabled on the right shoulder of I-81 south in Lebanon County, near mile marker 86.5 in East Hanover Township. It was parked behind a tractor-trailer.

A southbound tractor-trailer driven by Doug Jones, 78, of Mansfield, struck Flores' vehicle, and then the parked tractor-trailer. Jones' truck then hit the guide rail on the right shoulder and the trailer broke loose and continued south, scattering its contents across the road.

Flores was pronounced dead at the scene. Jones was not hurt.
